Welcome

At Trinity Church of England Primary School, our Early Years Foundation Stage is a happy, caring and exciting place to learn. We believe that the early years are the foundation for a child’s future, and we are committed to giving every child the best possible start.

As part of St Chad’s Academy Trust, and as a Church of England school, we welcome families from all backgrounds. Our strong Christian ethos is at the heart of everything we do and is reflected in the way we care for one another, show kindness and respect, and celebrate every child as unique and valued.

We work closely with families to create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel confident, secure and ready to learn.

Our Vision

At Trinity Church of England Primary School, our Early Years setting is a warm and welcoming space where children begin their lifelong learning journey.

We create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is valued, listened to and supported to thrive. Through strong relationships with families and clear, consistent routines, we help children to feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

Our passionate and experienced team models positive behaviour and delivers high-quality teaching that sparks curiosity, independence and a love for learning. We carefully tailor learning experiences to meet each child’s individual needs, helping them to develop essential life skills that prepare them for school and beyond.

We are proud to support children’s confidence, resilience and wellbeing, ensuring they feel happy, secure and excited about learning every day.

At Trinity EYFS, we aim for every child to be:

· Happy and confident

· Curious and eager to learn

· Kind, respectful and resilient

· Ready for the next stage of their education

Learning Through Play

Play is at the heart of learning in our EYFS. Through play, children explore, investigate, create and develop important skills for life.

We provide:

· Engaging indoor learning environments

· Newly designed outdoor learning areas in Nursery and Reception

· Regular Forest School experiences

· Opportunities to build independence and confidence

Children learn through stories, songs, role play, outdoor exploration and practical activities. These experiences support communication, early reading and writing, maths, physical development and social skills.

A Strong Team Around Every Child

Trinity is a large school with a strong and supportive wider team. Our EYFS staff work closely with other professionals to ensure every child receives the care and support they need.

Inclusion is very important to us. We work hard to ensure that all children feel they belong and are supported to succeed, whatever their starting point.
